About the Wind and Water Project
The Wind and Water project is about developing the Mid West region as a tourism destination for participation in wind and water relate activities. The plan is not about any one organisation, sport, or government agency, it is about everyone collaborating to develop the region as Australia’s Ultimate Wind and Water sport destination. The wind and water project is driven by a working group made up of businesses, community groups, and committed individuals and is supported by the Wind and Water Project Board.

Coronation Beach Masterplan.
Led by the Shire of Chapman Valley this project will see the development of Coronation Beach as an iconic windsurfing / Kiteboarding / SUPing location
Mahomet's Beach Artificial Reef.
The Mahomet's Beach Artificial Reef Project seeks to develop a section of the coastline known as Mahomet's, or Back Beach through the construction of an artificial reef, which will have significant positive multiplier effects on the local tourism industry throughout the Midwest Region and in particular Geraldton. A reef is considered a catalyst for tourism and economic development related to beach culture.
